Project Manager

Bayshore Construction Inc. (BCI) is currently seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful team player who will thrive in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment. Our company, which completes projects in the commercial construction market, is growing quickly, and we are looking for a professional with solid interpersonal skills who contains the capacity and desire to grow with us.  

Description 

  • Overall project administration, leadership, and technical direction of ground up projects 
  • Manage bid requests, review bids, develop subcontracts 
  • Direct lead for estimating and take offs 
  • Handle all project buyout within designated time frame 
  • Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors 
  • Direction of all RFI’s requested 
  • Direction of all Submittal’s requested 
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan 
  • Manage special Inspection Schedules 
  • Work directly with Architects, Engineers and to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value engineered 
  • Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates 
  • Review Daily Reports and Safety Inspections from onsite Superintendents 
  • Organize, attend, participate, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings involving pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc 
  • Build lasting relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.) 
  • Managing and multitasking multiple projects at a time 
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and local codes. 

 

Profile 

  • Bachelor’s degree level education in construction or related field or substitute experience 
  • 2-5+ years of experience working in the construction industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Stable work record 
  • Knowledge in Construction Management or related field required 
  • Proficient on MS office, Bluebeam, Foundation Software 
  • Experience in water/storm mitigation work preferred but not required

Superintendent

Bayshore Construction Inc. (BCI) is seeking highly skilled and experienced Superintendents to join our growing organization. As the Superintendent you will be the face of the company to both project stakeholders, design team, and subcontractors. You will play a critical role in overseeing commercial construction projects, ensuring the successful completion, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, risk management, and leadership. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved with the project.  

Experience Requirements 

  • Established and verifiable history of successful completion of Commercial Office Interiors projects.  
  • The candidate should have a track record of overseeing several projects at one time.  
  • Takes a proactive approach and offers effective problem-solving solutions. Quickly identifies conflicts and incomplete data and takes the initiative to devise solutions.  
  • 5+ Years experience in the commercial construction sector  
  • Strong Understanding of safety protocols 
  • Preferred: OSHA 30hr certification 
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A) or equivalent experience 
  • Proven leadership skills  
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally  
  • Experience in the Greater Houston market working with building inspectors and design teams
